Ingredients:

Cake:

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons ground cardamom
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated orange zest

Topping:

  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Grease and flour a 5×9-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cardamom, cinnamon, and salt.
