Ingredients:

  • 14 oz (400g) Maltesers
  • 2.1 oz (60g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups (500ml) double cream
  • 4 tbsp malt powder
  • 10.5 oz (300g) Malteser chocolate bars, chopped
  • 3.5 oz (100g) dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup (300ml) double cream (for filling)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.8 oz (50g) Maltesers (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Line the base and sides of a cake tin with greaseproof paper.
  2. Using a food processor, blitz 400g of Maltesers into crumbs.
  3. Make the crust: In a bowl, mix the melted butter with the Malteser crumbs until well combined. Press the mixture into the cake tin, covering the bottom and sides evenly. Chill in the fridge.
  4. For the filling: In a medium pan, heat the cream and malt powder until nearly boiling. Remove from heat and add the chopped Malteser chocolate bars and dark chocolate. Stir until melted and smooth. Let it cool slightly.
  5. Pour the chocolate filling into the chilled crust, ensuring it fills the tin completely. Allow to set for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight.
  6. To serve: Remove the pie from the tin and transfer to a serving plate. Whip the double cream and vanilla until soft peaks form. Spread over the chocolate filling, covering the surface evenly. Crush the remaining Maltesers and sprinkle over the top.
  7. Slice, serve, and enjoy the heavenly delight!

Notes: For an extra indulgent twist, you can drizzle caramel sauce over the pie before serving. Additionally, feel free to customize the recipe by adding your favorite chocolate or candy toppings.
