Ingredients:

  • For the dough:
    • 320 grams (1 1/3 cups) water
    • 2 teaspoons sugar
    • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
    • 30 grams (2 tablespoons) olive oil
    • 30 grams (2 tablespoons) cornmeal
    • 390 grams (3 1/4 cups) flour
    • 5 grams (1 teaspoon) baking powder
    • 1 gram (1/4 teaspoon) garlic powder
    • 1 gram (1/4 teaspoon) onion powder
    • 4.5 grams (1 1/2 teaspoons) yeast
  • For the rolls:
    • 226 grams (1 cup) salted butter, softened (2 sticks)
    • 8 – 10 cloves garlic, minced
    • 15 grams (1/4 cup) fresh parsley, chopped
    • 340 grams (3 cups) Mozzarella cheese, shredded
    • 340 grams (3 cups) Cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions:

  1. For the dough: If using a bread machine, add water, sugar, salt, olive oil, cornmeal, flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and yeast according to the manufacturer’s settings. Select the dough setting and proceed with the recipe after the machine beeps.
  2. For the rolls:
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
    • Roll out the dough on a floured surface into an 18×10-inch rectangle.
    • In a bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Use a pastry brush to spread an even layer of the butter mixture over the dough.
    • Sprinkle shredded Mozzarella and Cheddar cheese over the dough.
    • Roll up the dough jelly-roll style and slice into 12 equal slices.
    • Place the rolls in the prepared baking dish. Bake for 35 minutes or until the rolls are cooked through and the cheese is melted.
