  • 1 teaspoon (5g or 0.18 oz) salt
  • 1 ¼ cups (210g or 7.4 oz) high-quality chocolate bars, chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch (23 x 33 cm) baking pan with parchment paper, ensuring there’s an overhang around the sides for easy removal.
  2. Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until just combined, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the Dry Ingredients: Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir the mixture just until combined, about another minute. Add 1 cup of the chopped chocolate bars and stir to incorporate.
  4. Prepare for Baking: Transfer the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining chopped chocolate bars evenly on top of the batter.
