  2. Place the chopped cabbage and onion in a 6-quart slow cooker. Add the browned ground beef on top.
  3. Add the crushed tomatoes, Rotel tomatoes and green chiles, water, crumbled beef bouillon cubes, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, dried oregano, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Stir the ingredients to combine well.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours, until the cabbage is tender and the flavors have melded together.

Notes:

  • Substitutions: Ground turkey or chicken can be used in place of ground beef for a lighter version. You can also use vegetable bouillon cubes for a vegetarian option.
  • Cooking Tips: For a deeper flavor, consider browning the onion along with the ground beef before adding them to the slow cooker. Adjust the cayenne pepper to your preferred spice level.
  • Nutritional Information: This soup is a great source of protein and fiber, making it a nutritious option for a balanced meal. Serve with a side of crusty bread for a complete and satisfying dinner.
