Ingredients:

  • 450g (1 lb) ground beef
  • 180ml (3/4 cup) ketchup
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) water
  • 3 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 340g (12 oz) biscuits, cut into quarters
  • 120g (1 cup) cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and spray a 22 x 33 cm (9 x 13 inch) baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add ketchup, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to the skillet with the cooked beef. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and transfer the meat mixture to a medium bowl.
  5. Add the quartered biscuits to the bowl with the meat mixture and toss until thoroughly combined.
  6. Pour the biscuit and meat mixture into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 28-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and serve hot.
