  • 3 large eggs
  • 300g (10.5 oz) caster sugar
  • 150g (5.3 oz) light brown sugar
  • 150g (5.3 oz) unsalted butter, melted
  • 225g (7.9 oz) plain flour
  • 90g (3.2 oz) cocoa powder
  • 150g (5.3 oz) 70% dark chocolate, melted
  • 150ml (5 fl oz) whole milk
  • 8 x 4 finger Kit Kat bars, 2 crushed, 6 left whole

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) or 160°C (320°F) for fan-assisted. Grease and line a 20cm x 20cm (8-inch x 8-inch) brownie tin.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, caster sugar, and light brown sugar until well combined.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until fully incorporated. Then add the flour and cocoa powder, mixing until smooth.
  4. Add the melted dark chocolate to the batter and mix thoroughly.
  5. Pour in the whole milk and stir until you have a smooth batter.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared tin and smooth it out with a palette knife.
  7. Press the 6 whole Kit Kat bars into the batter in the tin.
  8. Spread the remaining half of the batter over the Kit Kat bars, ensuring they are fully covered.
  9. Sprinkle the crushed Kit Kat bars evenly over the top of the batter.
