Ingredients:

  • 450g lean ground beef (approx. 1 lb)
  • 80g bread crumbs (approx. 2/3 cup)
  • 10g ketchup (approx. 2 tsp)
  • 5g mustard (approx. 1 tsp)
  • 5g Worcestershire sauce (approx. 1 tsp)
  • 2.5g garlic powder (approx. 1/2 tsp)
  • 2.5g onion powder (approx. 1/2 tsp)

Gravy :

  • 2 packets Brown Gravy Mix
  • 475ml hot water (approx. 2 cups)
  • 5g ketchup (approx. 1 tsp)
  • 5g Worcestershire sauce (approx. 1 tsp)

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Use clean hands to mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook until browned and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Adjust the heat to low.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the gravy mix, hot water, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
  5. Pour the gravy mixture over the cooked patties in the skillet. Allow it to come to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  6. If the gravy becomes too thick, add 60ml (1/4 cup) of water at a time until reaching desired consistency.
  7. Serve the Salisbury steak patties warm, topped with gravy, and enjoy with mashed potatoes or your favorite sides.

Notes: For a lighter version, you can use ground turkey instead of beef. Additionally, feel free to customize the seasoning to suit your taste preferences.
